Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regulator circuit for automatic compensation for the change in output power in a vertical cavity surface emitting diode.
SOLUTION: This regulator circuit is the one for regulating an output power compensator for a laser diode which is provided with a plurality of electric controlling elements 31-34 for controlling the output power of a laser diode 20. It is composed of an optical power measuring equipment 35 for measuring the output power of the laser diode and generating an output signal, a difference generator 28 structured so as to receive the output signal and a plurality of specified values and generate a plurality of control signals, and a storage device 29 constituted of a plurality of storage elements for storing the control signals. This regulator circuit is so structured that the storage elements of the storage device 29 are connected to the difference generator 28, and the electric control elements 31-34 receive the control signals from the storage elements and regulate the output power compensator.
