Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay box by which connection preprocessing of a cable can be performed outside of the relay box, the cable is firmly held after construction and a high waterproof/dustproof performance can be obtained.SOLUTION: A relay box body 11 is formed while being divided into a terminal block part 21 and a lid part 22 defining a direction that is orthogonal with a length direction of a cable, as a direction of division. A cable penetration part 12 includes a cylindrical body 13 and a male screw 14. A sealant 34 includes a first seal part 41 provided within the cable penetration part, and a second seal part 42 along a mating face of the terminal block part and the lid part. A fastening cap 31 is capable of putting in and putting out the cable in the direction of division and applies a pressure to the first seal part. The pressure is applied to the first seal part and the cable penetration part and the cable are sealed. The second seal part is held between the terminal block part and the lid part, such that the terminal block part and the lid part are sealed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
