Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of suppressing a temperature rise of a rotor.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 comprises: a stator core 11; a rotor 20 which opposes an inner peripheral surface of the stator core 11 with a cavity 90 of a predetermined interval interposed therebetween; and a wedge 12 for holding the stator coil 14 within a slot 13 formed on the inner peripheral surface of the stator core 11. In the wedge 12, a through-hole 121 is provided in an axial direction of the stator core 11. Cooling water is caused to flow into the through-hole 121, such that air flowing in the cavity 90 around the wedge 12 is cooled, and a temperature rise of the rotor 20 can be suppressed by the cooled air.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
