Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a composite output from being interrupted in the case that a digital VTR continuously reproduces a plurality of digital broadcast programs.
SOLUTION: The digital VTR is provided with: a reproducing circuit 9 for reproducing a digital signal recorded on a recording medium; a detection means password for detecting a change from a stop state into a reproducing start state of the reproducing circuit 9; and a generating means 8 for generating information indicative of discontinuity on the basis of the detection of the reproducing start state by the detection means 7. The digital VTR transmits the information generated from the generating means 8 to other apparatus together with the reproduced digital signal via a digital interface.
