To provide a rescue hook for a helicopter capable of rapidly and correctly adjusting the height without hook immersion in water even under difficult conditions that the stationary position of the helicopter is not stable in a rescue work above the sea, and the height of the lowered hook is hardly checked from the high position in the sky.
The rescue hook for the helicopter consists of a wire 12 to be elevated/lowered by a winch 11, and a hook member 14 connected to a lower end of the wire 12 via a rotary part 13. At least a float body 1 for generating the buoyancy against the weight of the rotary part 13 and the hook member 14 is provided on the rotary part 13. The vertical projected area of the float body 1 is formed larger than that of the rotary part 13 or that of the hook member 14.
