Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition, composed of a specific polymer composition, an inorganic filler and an organic dye, etc., excellent in resistance to discoloration, light and impact and useful as automotive parts, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The resin composition is composed of (A) a polymer composition composed of (i) one or more polyphenylene ethers such as poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4- phenylene ether), (ii), as necessary, a styrenic resin, (iii) one or more polyamides, (iv), as necessary, one or more impact resistance improving polymers such as PE and (v), as necessary, a compatibility improver such as a liquid diene polymer and (B) a combination of (i) one or more inorganic fillers selected from titanium oxide, zinc oxide, zinc sulfide, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, mica coated with the titanium oxide and a metallic particle with (i) one or more organic dyes or pigments capable of whitening in exposure to light in an amount effective in improving the resistance to discoloration of the component (A).
