Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition, comprising an amorphous polyolefin and optionally a tackifier or a liquid polymer, excellent in strength characteristics, colorability, fading properties and dynamic stability, having a low loss ratio in Cantabor tests and readily mixable with a heated aggregate.
SOLUTION: This resin composition for paving roads comprises (A) an amorphous polyolefin [e.g. the one, having 1000-20000 number-average molecular weight and containing ≥50wt.% propylene component, ≤50wt.% butene-1 and ≥50wt.% sum total of propylene and butene-1 or ≤30wt.% ethylene and ≥50wt.% sum total of propylene and ethylene) and, as necessary, further contains (B) a tackifier such as a petroleum resin or a terpenic resin or a liquid polymer such as liquid polybutene or liquid polybutadiene.
