Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a resin compsn. for a toner having excellent fixability, anti-offsetting property, blocking resistance and moisture resistance by making use of excellent properties of both styrene-acrylic resin and polyester resin.
CONSTITUTION: A polyester copolymer (a) having 3,000-30,000wt. average mol.wt., 0.5-10mg KOH/g acid value and 10-60mg KOH/g OH value and using at least one or more kinds of arom. diols and at. least one or more kinds of aliphatic diols, a vinyl monomer (b) and a divinyl monomer (c) are suspension-polymerized to obtain a resin compsn. having 40-70°C glass transition temp., 0.1-10mg KOH/g acid value and 100-160°C softening temp. The amt. of the copolymer (a) used is 5-40wt.% based, on the amt. of all the resulting polymers, that of the monomer (b) is 60-95wt.% and that of the monomer (c) is 0.1-1.0wt.%.
