Abstract:

To provide a resin film which is excellent in punching procesability, has high mechanical strength, and comprises a thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin and to provide a process which can suitably produce the film.

This film comprises a thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin having an inherent viscosity (η inh) of 0.7-3 dl/g and is produced by a process comprising the step of producing a thermoplastic saturated norbonene resin having an inherent viscosity (η inh) of 0.7-3 dl/g in the presence of an aromatic solvent and/or an aliphatic solvent, the step of concentrating the resultant thermoplastic saturated norbonene resin solution to give a solution containing the resin and at least a part of the solvent and then casting this concentrated solution onto a flat or curved plate, and the step of drying a film formed by casting the concentrated solution.
