Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a damping metal material having bending processability not generating gull wing-like folding or release without sacrificing damping capacity by sandwiching a viscoelastic resin between a stainless steel panel and a pure aluminum panel both of which are specified in thickness.

CONSTITUTION: A viscoelastic resin is sandwiched between a stainless steel panel with a thickness of 0.1-2.0mm and a pure aluminum panel with a thickness of 0.1-1.0mm as an intermediate layer. As material quality constitution, a single side material is composed of stainless steel and the other side material is composed of pure aluminum and, as the material quality of the resin of the intermediate layer, any resin having viscoelasticity such as a polyethylenic resin, a polyolefinic resin or a polyvinyl type resin used in a general damping steel panel can be used and resin thickness is not especially restricted.
