Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a resistance welded steel pipe excellent in workability and suitable for automobile use or machine structural use.
SOLUTION: This resistance welded tube excellent in workability contains, by weight, 0.02-0.15% C, 0.1-1.5% Si, 1.0-2.0% Mn, ≤0.02% S, ≤0.03% P, 0.01-0.10% Al, ≤1.5% Cr, ≤0.01% Ti, ≤0.0050% N, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities and containing, if necessary, 0.0002-0.0020% Ca and also has a conjugated structure consisting of ferrite with workability and the balance martensite and bainite. This resistance welded tube can highly meet the future demand for the resistance welded steel pipe having high ductility capable of withstanding complicated working such as hydroforming.
