To provide a retainer that does not cause partial deformation of the circumferential surface of long members and surely prevents the positional displacement of the long members without using a tightening band.
The retainer 1 has a clamping part 3 and a lid part 5. This lid part and the clamping part are connected by a hinge 6 rotatably. When a first lock means 15 of the lid part 5 engages with a second lock means 17 of the clamping portion, a long member is fixed and retained in the clamping part. A lever piece 25 is provided on the lid part 5 at the position adjacent to the first lock means, while a lever piece receptacle 27 is formed on the clamping part in the position adjacent to the second lock means. The lever piece contacts the receptacle when the lid part is closed, deflecting the clamping part in such a way as to reduce the inside diameter of its receiving recessed part 7. The long member stored in the clamping part is fixed and retained by tightly binding it by the clamping part of the reduced diameter and the lid part.
