Abstract:
To reduce cost required for retaining a tripod member of a tripod side constant velocity universal joint, and to facilitate assembly thereof.
A retaining member 70 is integrally provided with an inside part 71 and an outside part 72 to reduce the number of parts. By fitting an opening end of an outside joint member 10 in between the inside part 71 and the outside part 72, the retaining part 70 is stably disposed to the opening end part of the outside joint member 10, to prevent positional shift of the retaining part 70 in installation of a boot 50 thereafter.
