Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject system sufficiently small in the computational amounts for searching and capable of also predicting long-range interactions.
CONSTITUTION: This system is made up of a base pair preserving section 11 to make or preserve any base pairs in an RNA sequence, an imaginary distance preserving section 12 to preserve the imaginary distance between any base pairs in the RNA sequence, an energy computational section 14 to calculate the respective energies in a loop composed of plural bases and a stack region composed of base pairs, a secondary structure preserving section 13 to preserve predicted stack regions, and a prediction control section 15 to control the above- mentioned four sections and predict the objective RNA secondary structure by predicting the stack regions one by one.
