Abstract:

To obtain a lubricating material for twin drum type thin plate continuous molding, capable of realizing a stable continuous molding for a long period of time by stably securing an affinity and a lubricating property at a sliding surface in the case that the end surfaces of a cooling drum and a side barrage are formed by a hard material.

This lubricating material applied on end surfaces 1a, 1b of a cooling drum sliding with a side barrage 2 preceding to the twin drum type thin plate continuous molding and formed as a rod like shape contains a high melting point wax, a water glass, an organic high molecular compound and an oil in the case of using titanium oxide, fluorinated graphite, tungsten sulfide as a main solid lubricating material, or the organic high molecular compound and the oil in a suitable amount in the case of using a phosphate, silicate or borate as a main solid lubricating material. The oil may be mixed to the lubricating material by impregnating.
