This grooving apparatus is provided with a grooving roll and a back-up roll which are relatively displaced with a feed screw and, by improving the strength and durability of the feed screw, preventing its wear and improving torque performance, the grooving of a thicker pipe is made possible. The improved tracking performance is obtained by a special roll structure.
