Abstract:
To provide a mechanism for holding a roll sheet which is required when continuously detecting a residual quantity of the roll sheet.SOLUTION: A roll sheet printer comprises: a case having surfaces capable of supporting an outer periphery of a roll sheet and a pair of walls capable of regulating the roll sheet from a sheet width direction; a first electrostatic capacitance sensor having a first electrode mounted on the wall; and a control part which determines a residual quantity of the roll sheet based on a first electrostatic capacitance value detected by the first electrostatic capacitance sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
