Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll-on type coating film treating agent compsn. which is suitable for roller coating, can maintain its quality and does not influence on the environment.
SOLUTION: This compsn. is an aq. soln. containing phosphoric acid, metal ions and a coupling agent, and has a compsn. prepared by dissolving at least one metal ion source selected from among oxides or hydroxides of magnesium, zinc, nickel and aluminum, and at least one coupling agent selected from among titanium salts and zirconium salts or chromic acid in phosphoric acid in such a manner that the molar ratio of (metal ion Mn+)/(H3PO4) ranges 1/1.5 to 1/4. The obtd. compsn. can be adapted in a fast and continuous coating line for steel sheets, and the thickness of the coating film is controlled in such a manner that the amt. of phosphorus in the coating film is 15-75mg/m2 under the condition of 60-95°C steel sheet temp.
