Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling mill vicinity width meter measuring a plate width in the vicinity of a mill roll for rolling a plate material.
SOLUTION: The meter comprises at least a pair of one dimensional CCD camera detecting an edge position of both edges of the plate material. Sight angle of the one dimensional CCD camera is an angle looking in the plate material in the vicinity of the mill roll inside a rolling mill.
