Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition, comprising an organopolysiloxane having molecular chain terminals blocked with hydroxyl, alkoxy groups, etc., and a specific viscosity, an inorganic filler, a rosin ester, a functional alkoxysilane and a curing catalyst and having high bonding durability.
CONSTITUTION: This room temperature curing composition is obtained by blending (A) 10 pts.wt. organopolysiloxane having molecular chain terminals blocked with hydroxyl or alkoxy groups and a viscosity at 25°C within the range of 20-1000000cSt (e.g. polydimethylsiloxane having both terminals blocked with hydroxyl groups) with (B) 1-300 pts.wt. inorganic filler (e.g. calcium carbonate), (C) 0.1-10 pts.wt. rosin ester (rosin ethylene glycol ester), (D) 0.5-30 pts.wt. reactional product of an aminoalkylalkoxysilane with an epoxyalkylalkoxysilane and (E) 0.001-10 pts.wt. curing catalyst (e.g. dibutyltin dilaurate). The composition is excellent in adhesion in the initial curing and water resistance after the curing.
