Abstract:
To provide a rotary damper which can return to an initial rotation position when resistance force abnormally increases and be formed in a small form, and to provide a pedal device including the rotary damper.SOLUTION: A rotary damper 10 includes: a housing 12; and a rotor 13, which is rotatably disposed at the housing 12, and generates resistance force when the rotor 13 rotates. At least one of the housing 12 and the rotor 13 has a weak part 54 which is damaged by a load which is equivalent to or larger than a predetermined load set in advance to deactivate a damper function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
