Abstract:
To provide a solid fuel combustion device in which incomplete combustion hardly occurs even if solid fuel containing plastic is combusted.SOLUTION: A solid fuel combustion device comprises: a combustion part 100 inside which a combustion chamber 100a is formed; a fuel injection part 250 for mixing solid fuel with air and injecting it into the combustion chamber 100a obliquely downward; and combustion air injection parts 310 and 320 for injecting combustion air into the combustion chamber 100a. The combustion air injection parts 310 and 320 form a swirl airflow swirling near an inner bottom surface 100c of the combustion chamber 100a by injecting the air from injection ports arranged below an injection port of the fuel injection part 250 so that an injection range includes the inner bottom surface 100c of the combustion chamber 100a. The solid fuel injected by the fuel injection part 250 is caught in the swirl airflow before reaching the inner bottom surface 100c, and is combusted while being suspended above the inner bottom surface 100c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
