PURPOSE: To shorten a signal line between a stator part and a drum drive circuit and to improve the degree of freedom of the connection position of the signal line by providing the stator part of a drum motor directly on a base chassis.

CONSTITUTION: The rotor part 14B of a drum motor 14 is arranged on the drum shaft 18 of a rotary drum 10, and the stator part 14A of the drum motor 14 is arranged on a base chassis 22. And, the signal lines to the stator part 14A is laid, and a lower drum 12 is fixed on the base chassis 22 so that the rotor part 14B comes opposite to the stator part 14A. That is, the stator part 14A of the drum motor 14 is arranged directly on the base chassis 22. Then, the wiring of the signal line of the stator part 14A and a drum drive circuit becomes easy. Thus, the assembly work of the signal line is not hindered when assembling the rotary drum device, and the harness for connecting the signal line after the assembling is completed becomes unnecessary.
