PURPOSE: To prevent the pressure pulsation in discharge and reduce the noise of a gear pump by increasing the fluid pressure in a gap to the pressure approximate to a discharge pressure before the gap part between the rotors reaches a discharge port.
CONSTITUTION: The sealing rand 3b on the suction port 4 side of a gear pump is on the line L2 connecting the center point O of the revolution of an outer rotor and the partitioning point between the rotors on a suction port side when the capacity of the gap part between an inner rotor 1 and an outer rotor 2 becomes max. Further, the sealing rand 3a on a discharge port 5 side is set at the position deflected forward in the direction of revolution of the rotor from the line L1 connecting the center point O of the revolution of the outer rotor and the partitioning point between the rotors on the discharge port side. Therefore, the capacity in the gap reduces a little towards the discharge port, and the fluid pressure in the gap can be increased to the pressure approximate to the discharge side pressure. Therefore, generation of pressure pulsation in discharge can be prevented, and the noise of the gear pump can be reduced.
