Abstract:

To provide a rotor in which an iron loss is prevented by suppressing the large concentration of a stress or a rotary moment on one part of a rotor core when the rotor core rotates integrally with a shaft, and to provide a rotary electric machine.

The motor is includes a rotor core having a rotary shaft 58 having a key groove 58a formed on its circumferential surface, a through hole 20a capable of accepting the rotary shaft 58, and a key portion 42 formed on the internal surface defining the through hole 20a and engageable to the key groove 58a; and stress relaxing grooves 40, 140 formed on positions adjacent to the key portion 42 of the internal surface of the rotor core defining the through hole 20a and recessed so as to be separated from the circumferential surface of the rotary shaft 58. The internal surface of the through hole 20a is formed like an arc, and the bottom surfaces R1, R11 of the stress relaxing grooves 40, 140 positioned in a diameter direction, of the stress relaxing grooves 40, 140, each have an arc portion using a center 101 defining the through hole 20a as a center 101.
