Abstract:
PURPOSE:To generate a ridge line on a ridge surface to a ridge line to be rounded with a small data amount by deciding the direction of a vector so that a tangential plane at the both ends of the ridge line to be generated can be coincident with a tangential plane before rounding, and deciding the size of the vector based on a rounding amount at the both ends of the rigid line to be rounded. CONSTITUTION:The vicinity on an adjacent face to the ridge line to be rounded is generated by adding the vector to apply offset (correction) in a direction crossing the vicinity to be rounded to a point on the vicinity to be rounded. The direction of the vector to apply the offset in the direction crossing the vicinity to be rounded is generated from the vector of the offset at the both ends of the ridge line on the adjacent face to the ridge line to be rounded, and decided so that the tangential plane at the both ends of the ridge line to be generated can be coincident with the tangential plane before rounding. Thus, regardless of the shape of the ridge line to be rounded, the ridge line on the adjacent face to the ridge line to be rounded can be generated with the small data amount.
