To provide a rubber mixture that can produce a tire having improved wetting skid resistance, low rolling resistance, high machine resistance, heat resistance, and improved abrasion resistance.

The rubber mixture comprises (a) 100 parts by weight of at least one kind of rubber, (b) 10-800 parts by weight of a filler, and (c) 0.001-40 parts by weight of a compound which can crosslink the rubber through the hydroxy or carboxy group of the rubber, wherein the at least one kind of rubber is produced by the polymerization of a diolefin and the introduction of a hydroxy group and/or a carboxy group; and the rubber has a total content of the binded hydroxy and/or carboxy groups or the salt thereof of 0.05-5 wt.%, a content of polymerized vinyl aromatic monomer of 0-50 wt.%, a content of diolefin of 45-99.95 wt.%, and a content of 1,2-bonded diolefin of 0-80 wt.%.
