Abstract:
To provide a rubber mixture that can improve simultaneously all the three technically involved tire properties of wetting skid resistance, rolling resistance, and abrasion without any one property of them improved at the sacrifice of the others.
The rubber mixture comprises (a) a rubber having a total content of hydroxy and/or carboxy groups of 0.1-3 wt.%, (b) 5-500 parts by weight of hydrophobized oxide and/or a silicate filler relative to 100 parts by weight of the gum, and (c) optionally the other rubber, a rubber auxiliary agent and a crosslinking agent.
