Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sandbag, swelling when contacting with water to serve water shielding function, decreasing in weight and thickness, giving no damage to environment after usage, and facilitating waste disposal.
SOLUTION: The sandbag 1 comprises a water absorptive organic granular material 3 formed by compressing and granulating vegetable fibers or a vegetable powder, filled in a water permeable beg 2, the organic granular material 3 containing an organic swelling material 4 consisting a vegetable polymer which swells when contacting with water.
