To provide the scroll compressor that supplies the amount of oil corresponding to the speed of rotation, eliminating blocking the oil supply channel, and allowing easy processing.
Between the outer circumference of a rotating driving shaft 5c of a rotating scroll 5 and a bearing 8a of a crank shaft 8, a helical groove 5c1 and a helical seal 21 are provided. The helical groove 5c1 is formed on the outer circumference of the rotating driving shaft 5c, and the helical seal 21 is rotatably supported by the helical groove 5c1. These serve as a helical pump means that slightly compresses lubricant in the opposite direction of the flowing direction of the lubricant. When the scroll compressor starts operation, the helical seal 21 starts a rotating movement. Then, the fluid which contains the lubricant existing between the helical groove 5c1 formed at the outside circumference of the rotating driving shaft 5c and the helical seal 21 rises while being slightly compressed. Thus, the fluid which reaches the tip of the rotating driving shaft 5c has a pressure, and as it flows in the opposite direction of the lubricant, the fluid acts to suppress the flow. Further, since the suppression becomes more effective as the speed of rotation increases, the amount of the lubricant is reduced at the time of high speed rotations.
