Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress pressure rise in a space sealed by a seal member and thereby to prevent deformation or drop-off of the seal member while keeping seal function such as prevention of entering of water from the outside, in seal structure of a fuel injection valve for a direct cylinder injection internal combustion engine.
SOLUTION: The seal member 17 is installed on an upper part of the fuel injection valve 12 disposed in a through hole 7 of a cylinder head 1. A projecting part 20 projects outward from the upper face. A breather hole 19 communicating the through hole of the cylinder head with the outside is formed in the projecting part. An outside opening 19a of the breathing port is arranged at a position separated from the upper face of the seal member.
