Abstract:
To provide a sealing device and an envelope conveying device that can easily correct skew of an envelope.SOLUTION: A sealing device 1 includes: a conveying unit 3 that conveys an envelope E; a sealant imparting unit 7 that imparts a sealant to the envelope E conveyed by the conveying unit 3; and a closing portion 8 for closing a flap of the envelope E. A skew correction portion 9 for correcting skew of the envelope E is provided. The skew correction portion 9 is provided with an abutting plate 91 that abuts a side of the envelope E. Further, the abutting plate 91 is configured to be able to block conveyance of the envelope E in a conveyance path 4. Furthermore, the abutting plate moving portion 94 is provided that moves the abutting plate 91 between a standby position where the envelope E is allowed to pass and a skew correction position where the conveyance of the envelope is blocked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
