Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a rolling bearing capable of ensuring sealing property for a long time even if wear of a lip occurs due to excessive tightening.
SOLUTION: This sealing device for the rolling bearing is provided with an inner peripheral seal lip extending in the radial direction along a side face of a peripheral step part provided in a shoulder part of an inner ring of the rolling bearing from an inner peripheal part of a seal annular body fixed to an outer ring of the rolling bearing to bring a part of the inner peripheral lip in contact with the side face of the peripheral step part. The inner peripheral seal lip 12 of the seal annular body 11 is formed by a plurality of inner lips 13, 14 extending in the direction of side face 7 of the peripheral step part 6 and a plurality of outer lips 15, 16 extending in the opposite direction to the side face of the peripheral step part from a basic part of each inner lip. An inner peripheral part of the seal annular body, a section between inner lips, and each connection part between inner lips are formed in such a way that they extend outward and obliquely in the axial direction. Only tip inner lip among the inner lips always comes into contact with the side face of the peripheral step part, and the other inner lip comes into contact with the side face of the peripheral step part for the first time after predetermined amount of wear of the tip inner lip.
