Abstract:

To remarkably improve the quality of a green tire by effectively preventing the deformation of the tire bead part of the tire and preventing the partial damage or trouble of the bead part.

The sectional view shows the state that a tire bead part 5 is engaged with the recess 6 formed on the surface of the drum segment 4 of a bead-lock drum to be used in a two-stage molding machine for a radial tire through a sealing rubber cover 10. A predetermined thick elastic rubber layer 11 is integrally formed on the rear surface side of the part of the bead part 5 in contact with the ground heel 5a of the bead part 5 at the cover 10.
