Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seamless belt with excellent image quality and image durability, while individually controlling surface resistivity ρs and volume resistivity ρv to satisfy ρs>ρv.SOLUTION: A seamless belt includes a material containing at least a thermoplastic resin, a conductive resin incompatible with the thermoplastic resin, and a conductive filler, and satisfying the following conditions: (1) the thermoplastic resin has a continuous phase, and the conductive resin exits on a surface layer part of the belt non-uniformly; (2) surface resistivity ρs and volume resistivity ρv satisfy ρs>ρv; (3) the conductive resin has melt temperature (or melt viscosity) lower than that of the thermoplastic resin; and (4) the conductive resin has an endothermic peak at 0-60°C at least in the second temperature increasing operation in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
