To provide a seismic-response controlled structure capable of allowing floating, which reduces a seismic force, acting on a building, by allowing the floating occurring in a column base part of the building during earthquakes.
The column base part 2a on an intermediate floor of the building is isolated in a position above a beam 3 and a slab, and the adjacent base parts 2a of the building on an upper side with respect to the position of isolation are coupled together by a beam 4 or the slab. A recess 7 is formed at one of a lower end of the isolated upper-side base part 2a of the building and an upper end of a lower-side capital part of the building, a protrusion 6 is formed at the other one of them, and the protrusion 6 is fitted into and joined to the recess 7.
