Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any shift delay due to the draft delay of hydraulic pressure from occurring by making the working pressure of a frictional element so as not to be heightened like the same as a coast domain if it is in a drive domain, even in time of a select downshift.
SOLUTION: At steps 31 to 34, whether a select downshift is in third, second or first stage speed is judged. In time of the select downshift to the third, at a step 35, whether a driving state comes to a coast domain or a drive domain after the shift is judged, and if it is in the coast domain, at a step 36, line pressure to be turned to working pressure of a frictional element is heightened for the select downshift in time of the coast domain, and if it is the drive domain, at a step 37, the line pressure is made into the same in time of a D range treading downshift, prohibiting any line pressure rising control for the coast domain. Such a line pressure control is carried out like the same even in time of the select downshift to second and first stage speed, whereby the working pressure of the frictional element is prevented from being ineffectively heightened at the drive domain, and thereby any shift operation delay due to that is avoided.
