Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for self-discharge inspection of nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, which enables the reduction in storage cost.SOLUTION: A method for self-discharge inspection of nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries comprises: a first selection step where a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having few chances of being determined to be a non-defective article because of a large voltage variation ΔV1-ΔV4 since the charging of the battery is selected as a precedent defective article from a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery group at a point of time before an open-circuit voltage OCV, which varies immediately after the charging, is stabilized and thus, a reliable selection of a defective article is enabled; and a second selection step subsequent to the first one where a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery showing a larger voltage variation ΔV1-ΔV4 than a normal threshold since the charging is selected as a defective article from the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery group excluding the precedent defective article at a point of time when the open-circuit voltage OCV, which varies immediately after the charging, is stabilized and thus, a reliable selection of a defective article is enabled.
