Title:
SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE, INK CARTRIDGE, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010162901
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a semiconductor device allowing ink information in the ink cartridge to be accurately and surely detected and managed and preventing the wasteful use of ink to improve a user's degree of satisfaction, and to provide the ink cartridge and an electronic device.

The semiconductor device includes: a semiconductor substrate 10; liquid contact electrodes 12, 12 contacting the ink to detect the residual amount of ink; an EEPROM for memorizing the residual amount of ink; a second antenna 3 giving and receiving information between itself and a first antenna on the printer body side; and a controller for controlling the liquid contact electrodes 12, 12, the second antenna 3 and the EEPROM. The liquid contact electrodes 12, 12 are provided on the rear face 10b side of the semiconductor substrate 10, and are electrically connected to element electrodes 11, 11 on the active element forming surface 10a side through penetrating electrodes 9, 9. The second antenna 3 is provided on either one of the active element forming surface 10a and the rear face 10b of the semiconductor substrate 10.
