Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a loom by taking out a yarn ending section following the changeover of a wound yarn layer and preventing defects due to the weaving of the yarn ending section from occurring by installing a sensing unit for the yarn ending section is a multilayered yarn feed package side by side.
SOLUTION: This sensor for a yarn ending section comprises a sensing unit composed of a proximity switch 30 and a sensing lever 31, etc. The sensing lever 31 is arranged between a flange 5 of each subbobbin 3 and a yarn Y striding over the flange 5 in a state of the yarn ending section M before taking out thereof so as to resist an urging force for separation from the subbobbin 3 with a compression spring 33. When the yarn Y containing the yarn ending section M is moved in the direction of an arrow R on the flange 5 and separated from the sensing lever 31 following the changeover of the wound yarn layer, the sensing lever 31 is brought near to the proximity switch 30, which is then operated.
