Abstract:
To provide a separation device or the like which improves separation efficiency of particles by using electrophoresis.SOLUTION: A separation device 100, which separates particles contained in a sample, includes a first substrate 101, a second substrate 102 arranged so as to be opposite to the first substrate 101, a flow channel 104 which is formed between the first substrate 101 and the second substrate 102 and in which the sample flows, and a pillar electrode array 304 which is arranged in the flow channel 104 and has a plurality of first pillar electrodes 301 and a plurality of second pillar electrodes 302 arrayed so as to form an approximate linear array. The pillar electrode arrays 304 extend in a direction inclining to a flow direction D of the sample in the flow channel 104. A frequency of an alternate voltage applied between the first pillar electrodes 301 and the second pillar electrodes 302 is 50 kHz or more and 20 MHz or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
