Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique in which gamma characteristics of display output are properly corrected even if there are variations therein.SOLUTION: An adjustment control device 60 performs the following processes (1) to (6) on the basis of a measurement result of a luminance meter 50 through a GPIO interface 23 to perform gamma correction and WB adjustment of a liquid crystal display 10. (1) Luminance of the maximum, HIGH, and LOW points is measured to calculate the gamma at the HIGH and LOW points. The luminance is corrected so as to acquire gamma 2.2. (2) Luminance is corrected so that the luminance of HIGH gradation can be gamma 2.2. (3) WB adjustment is performed in the HIGH gradation. (4) A deviation from the gamma 2.2 at the maximum luminance is calculated from the HIGH luminance after WB adjustment, and the maximum luminance value is corrected. (5) A deviation from the gamma 2.2 for the luminance of LOW gradation is calculated from the corrected maximum luminance to correct it. (6) WB adjustment is performed in the LOW gradation.
