Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need to remove a deposit by positively decomposing the org. matter in sewage, to highly purify the sewage and to dispense with the control of these by utilizing the bacteria in the atmosphere.
SOLUTION: Three digestion tanks 1, 21 and 31 and a decomposing and eliminating tank 41 are connected in series to constitute the sewage treating device. The inside of the tank main body 2 constituting the digestion tank 1 and to which a sewage inlet pipe 3 and a treated water outlet pipe 4 are connected is divided by a partition 5 into a turbulent-flow compartment 6 and a still-water compartment 7. A porous wooden chip is charged in the turbulent- flow compartment 6, and air is diffused into the compartment. A porous wooden chip-packed bed 43 is formed in a treating chamber 42 in the decomposing and eliminating tank 41 by digging up the soil. A reaction cylinder 44 consisting of a perforated pipe is inserted into the chip-packed bed 43, and the reaction cylinder 44 is connected to the treated water discharge pipe 40 of the digestion tank 31.
