To provide a sewing machine, and a sewing machine control program, which easily sew stitch pattern formed in accordance with a stitch route over the whole of a predetermined range while a user manually moves a work cloth, and achieves favorable appearance of stitch patterns.
Images of stippling patterns with a stitch route arranged along the whole sewing range are formed by a projector in size and location when finished, and sewing is started. In accordance with moving quantity of the work cloth that is moved as sewing proceeds, the images of the imaged stippling patterns are corrected (S305). When deflection of actual stitches from the stitch route exceeds a threshold value (S312: YES), stitch data are formed for a new stitch route along the whole unsewn range to which sewing has not yet been performed (S313). Based on newly generated imaging data, images of the stippling patterns are formed on the work cloth (S315).
