To enable the surface treatment of a transferred surface of a mold in a simpler manner and a shorter time than a conventional method and improve productivity and yield by irradiating ultraviolet rays on the transferred surface of the mold using an ultraviolet generating apparatus after molding.
This shaping method of an optical element is composed of a mold assembling process, a molding process, a mold-disassembling process and a surface treating process irradiating ultraviolet rays on the transferred surface of the mold disassembled. Before the irradiation of ultraviolet rays, an organosilicon compound-containing solution is preferably applied on the transferred surface of the mold. The ultraviolet rays necessarily include wave lengths having stronger energy at least than the double bond energy of oxygen.
