Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a collision between a conveying roller on a movable side and a recording head.
SOLUTION: The recording head 22 forms an image on a recording sheet while reciprocating in predetermined directions. A roller 2 and two pairs of rollers 30, 40, and 14, 76, nip and carry a recording paper in the direction crossing the predetermined directions. The roller 2 and two pairs of rollers 30, 40, and 14, 76, are separated from each other by turning a lever 80 in a predetermined direction. When the recording head 22 moves to a home position, an arm 114 swings with an axis 116 as a center by a pressing force of a lock release member 21, and a shaft body 106 moves against a spring force of a coil spring 18. One end of the shaft body 106 is disengaged from a lock hole 110 of the lever 80, and the lever 80 is unlocked. A projection 79 is also disengaged from a rail member 78, and a retaining force of preventing a swing of a mounting plate 72 is released. When the recording head 22 is located in an image forming area, one end of the shaft body 106 is inserted into the lock hole 110 of the lever 80, so that the lever 80 is retained.
