PURPOSE: To provide a sheet of high-capacity stack with no difficulty for well conformity, related to a sheet feeding device.

CONSTITUTION: A sheet feeding device 10 comprises a sheet stack container comprising facing vertical walls 11 and 12 in which sheets 14 are laminated, and a feeding head 15 which feeds a sheet from the top surface of the sheets which are between vertical walls and laminated parallel to them. The sheet stack container comprises a platform 13 which raises the laminated sheets for contacting to the feeding head 15, and a pressurizing member 17 which pressurizes the laminated sheets on one vertical wall to the other vertical wall 12. A first pressurizing member 21 of the pressurizing member 17 pressurizes the stack by a relatively strong spring to act on the sheet near the top of the stack while a second pressurizing member 22 does the stack by a relatively weak spring to act on the sheet closest to the top of the stack.
