Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cellulose ester-contg. sheet-like product having large specific surface area necessary for raising the rate of removing the nicotine and tar components in cigarettes and sheet strength enough to stand its industrial production, and capable of adequately conducting crepe processing necessary for its molding into a uniform circular rod-like from. SOLUTION: This sheet-like product is obtained by including beaten pulp and a cellulose ester containing fibrils each >=1,000 μm in length composed of fibrillar matter and/or filmy matter 0.1-30 μm in width and 10 μm to 10 mm in length. This product has a unidirectional tensile strength of >=800 gf/15 mm and specific surface area of >=1.5 m<2> /g.
