Abstract:
To realize a small-sized ship propulsion machine adopting a counter-rotating propeller.SOLUTION: A ship propulsion machine comprises a drive shaft 6, an inner propeller shaft 31 provided with a rear side propeller 56, an outer propeller shaft 32 provided with a front side propeller 51, a drive gear 18 fixed to the drive shaft 6, a front side gear 33 fixed to the inner propeller shaft 31 and engaging with the drive gear 18, a rear side gear 34 fixed to the outer propeller shaft 32 and engaging with the drive gear 18, and a gear casing 15 with a gear chamber 16 housing these gears. Moreover, the ship propulsion machine comprises a second bearing 42 to support the front end side of the outer propeller shaft 32 at the rear part of the gear casing 15 and a third bearing 43 to support two propeller shafts 31 and 32 with each other. The third bearing 43 is arranged on the inner circumferential side of the shaft of the rear side gear 34 and the second bearing 42 is arranged on the outer circumferential side of the shaft of the rear side gear 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
