Abstract:
To reduce lateral force on a compression coil spring externally inserted on a shock absorber.
For this shock absorber, when a compress ion coil spring 5 is contracted, the length of the compression coil spring 5 in contact with the seat face 8 of a terminal is greater to reduce the effective winding number of the compression coil spring 5 and, when the compression coil spring 5 is elongagted, the length of the compression coil spring 5 in contact with the seat face 8 of the terminal is shorter. With such repetition, the effective winding number of the compression coil spring 5 is changed to reduce lateral force on the compression coil spring 5.
